I've never seen Lost. I wonder if I can get caught up by May 23rd.

Anyone got a loaner boxset?

Tip:

Before "Lost," JJ Abrams was the head honcho on "Alias." I have recently gotten into this show via DVD. It is really f-ing cool. Although I missed the boat for "Lost" on TV, I want to check it out even more now.

So, I can't speak with full knowledge of any comparisons, but I would imagine fans of "Lost" might want to check "Alias" out. The 2-hour pilot is better than most movies and the dad is in my top-ten list of favorite movie a-holes (with Johnny from Karate Kid).

Roy, you have to do this.

I do not have a boxset, but it is worth the rental/download time. Erika and I watched the entire first season in a week (one long, long week) and I believe you can watch the first 2 3/4 seasons in a mere month.

Also: No Spoilers in here mofos! Don't even mention Dharma!!

But it's so awesome how she and Greg were SO different, but still found each other and fell in love on the island!

Don't look it up ahead of time, but you should be able to tell exactly when Abrams jumped ship for Lost.

Jumped ship or jumped the shark? The first half of this season wasn't so hot, but I've really dug the show since it returned from the mid-season break.

That's not what I meant. Abrams left work on Alias to do LOST and MI:3. You can really tell the difference in those seasons. He jumped Alias' ship, though whether or not they've jumped the shark on LOST is up for debate.

Oh, great, so now there may or may not be a shark on LOST.

Ok, Roy, everyone, you have to catch up and see this whole show now.

Erika and I finally watched Wednesday's episode last night and it ended with one of the biggest WTFs of the show so far!!!

Look at it like this:

about 25 episodes in the first and second season, 18 so far in the 3rd season. So, that's about 68 episodes to watch in the next 28 or so days. They're about 42 minutes each, so if you watch two episodes a night, plus some extras on the weekends.... point is, this is DOABLE. and NECESSARY.

Trust me, watch the first three or four episdes and tell me if you're not hooked.

SEE Y'ALL ON THE 23RD!!!

Roy, Kristin is going through my Season 1 box set. You can see about borrowing it from her. There is also that tv-links.co.uk site that Crouch always goes to that has Lost listed amongst the shows.
