Since the country has gone gerrymander-crazy, the primaries are usually where the action is at, where democracy flexes whatever muscle it has left.

In the March 7 Democratic primary for the 28th Congressional District (San Antonio area), incumbent Henry Cuellar faces off against Ciro Rodriguez, who lost his seat by only 224 votes last year because of redistricting.

Cuellar is your classic Democrat-in-Name-Only, endorsed by the ultraconservative Club for Growth and on Bush's buddy-buddy speed dial. He's a worm. I want to see Rodriguez replace him.

I'm a-gonna try and organize a car full of people wanting to spend the weekend before the primary down there to knock on doors and make phone calls, maybe even have some fun on the way. Message me if'n you want.
