ColdTowne is doing the showcase show on Thursday, February 16th in the downstairs theatre to raise money for our trip to the Dirty South Improv Festival. [http://festival.dirtysouthimprov.com/20 ... heater.php ]
We are pushing this event big time because we need help with gas money for not only this festival, but the ones we are doing in April as well. Tickets are going to be the usual $7-10, but with every $10 ticket, we are also giving away a raffle ticket that (fingers crossed) will get you some door prizes donated from local business peeps. We are also auctioning off a Dance Party, Date, and Dinner Party with ColdTowne. Their is a full page color ad in the Texas Travesty as well, so hopefully we will sell this thing out.
Since we are raising money and it's for a good cause (representing AIC in these other cities) we are asking any improvisers who want to attend to pay $5 at the door.
Also! If the Travesty ad pulls in as many improv virgins as we are hoping, this is a good chance to promote AIC as a whole as well as the other troupes and the schedule, etc. There will be preshow video entertainment as well as a short series of commercials once the doors are closed and lights turned down. I will make some general commercials for AIC, but if any troupe wants to give me a commercial to play for them or if they want help making a commercial, let me know soon. We will be out of town February 9-11 so this week and next is the big week for getting things done.
I think I covered everything. Please ask Tami, Jastroch, Arthur, or myself if you have any questions about anything. Thanks!
