Dude, your post over there is one the classiest things I've ever seen, especially after so much cyberscorn had been heaped on your head.

It is an honor to be your friend.

Nah. I'm not trying to incite a war. Just saying you gave you opinion about Austin/Chicago, and that it should be taken as one person's opinion. I'm sure people in Chicago, NY, LA, don't like the Austin scene, and I'm cool with that. Not everyone is going to fit in/like a certain scene. It just seems like they all over-reacted to what you said.

I don't think it's that bad. And pat on the back for your post response. That shows a lot of class.

Wait. Maybe That's The First Thing We Want. AN IMPROV WAR. Wouldn't it be good for the Improv Economy? Think about it, people. Let's beat our plowshares into SWORDS, y'all!!

Yeah, that was an interesting thread. The folks seemed more or less like us, which shouldn't really be a surprise. And you diffused the situation nicely. And hey, the Double Barrel site probably got a lot more traffic than it would've otherwise.

the Chicago scene is exhilarating and very easy to feel lost in. I feel your pain and only a fool would confuse frustration with hate.

Holy shit. Someone is like Roy and obsessively googles! It's his chicago doppleganger!

Man, that was a crazy roller coaster, reading those posts.
Thanks for ending it nicely. I wanted to say something cause I always got your back, but it wasn't needed.

AWESOME!!!!! One of Melissa's chicago friends has a boyfriend who's at IO, and she heard something about that chicago thread but didn't know exactly where it was. Cool. That was fun stuff to read.

i liked the part when they were all presumptuous.

I think a turf war would stir up some publicity...not good publicity, but some...

It is so easy to get stirred up by stuff and start spouting off. I hope we don't do that too much. But you did an amazing job of being honest and bringing it back to the important part of what you said. Fortuntaly, it sounds like they were willing to listen to you.
