Graduation Performance -- Sunday, March 4, 8pm - The Hideout

Post by javelina »

Hello.

You are cordially invited to attend the Graduation Performance of the most recent Heroes of Comedy Level 3 Class. Come see Eric, Brad, Karolyn, Justin, and Ben flex their toned improv muscles. Direction provided by Mr. acrouch. After 18 weeks of class, we think we're ready to put on a little show for you and yours. Bring your friends -- let's pack the house.

The Hideout Theatre
Upstairs Cabaret
Sunday March 4
8pm (sharp!)
$5

1-Up Bonus: General celebration following the show -- meet new people! Location to be determined.

Love,

ben (:

I am going to try to see this show for several reasons:

1. You promoted the show before anyone else mentioned it.
2. You have a cool muppet as your avatar
3. You used several font sizes and styles.
4. The phrase "you and yours"

I will do everything in my power to be there.

Woo! Way to take initiative and promote yourself.

I will be there, unless I'm forgetting something (likely).

Thanks for supporting our upcoming show with great haste!

Come see us cut our teeth on Sunday if you get the chance. Our class started with 12 or 13 people in Level 1, whittled down to 9 people in Level 2, and now we're down to 5. Everyone remaining has a unique style and is passionate about improv. We are eager to join the ranks of the Austin scene.

Your attendance can guarantee the show's success. We will be way too relaxed if our friends and family compose the entire audience. We will also take less risks, which is no fun for them. I am quite frightened at the thought of performing in front of experienced improvisers. I guarantee I will suffer more and more as I recognize AIC members in attendance, and that alone will be entertaining to watch. Who doesn't enjoy watching the occasional train wreck?

We will have fun Sunday evening. You will, too. Plus, like Ben mentioned, it should be fun to meet many of you after the show.

Just one rule, your class has to stop coming up with better avatars than the rest of us have. ;-)

Looking forward to the show!

I must have done one of those accidental highlight and deletes right before I posted. I've never mastered these laptop touchpads. Let me repost my full and actual quote:
"Just one rule, your class has to stop coming up with better avatars than the rest of us--except for me, of course, who has the world's best avatar made for me by the world's cutest little (wittle?) honeybear of love (wuv?), my sweet, sweet girlfriend Christina whom I love and adore very, very much--have."

I don't know how that got cut off, but at least now the problem is solved. ;-)

You know that line from a bad movie people like to quote? The one where they say they just threw up in their mouth a little.

I didn't do that. I vomited a lot. All over my desk.
