TheatreSports

Post by seanhill »

I'm thinking about doing a run of TheatreSports at The Hideout. It would be Danish style which means that the Audience awards the points after each round of scenes instead of judges.

The show would have two teams of 1 to 4 improvisers and an MC.

Let me know if you would be interested in participating or helping with TheatreSports.

Sounds like loads of fun, since I've never really seen it or done it. But it depends on the time commitment, and when it would be, and so forth. Would it be a mainstage run, or are you thinking something else?

I did NY Theatersports for a couple of years. It is a fun thing. Also good to get started in this community as it is a great commodity to sell to schools. I did many many school shows.

I would be interested in being in the rotation. Don't know what my time allowances will be at this moment though.

Like others, interest is high, time availability not as high. I'd like to be in the rotation for this.

Ditto.
Is this happening in the end of April/May-ish or sooner than that?

Great! I'm glad to see there are some people interested in playing Theatresports. I have to chat with Andy about the scheduling. I am editing together a TheatreSports reel from past shows we have done for people who have never seen TheatreSports before. I will also be putting together a free TheatreSports workshop to help bring people up to speed.
