Help Wanted: Teaching Artist

Theatre Action Project, an Austin, TX based educational theatre
company dedicated to igniting community dialogue, self discovery and
social change through the arts is looking for artists to work in area
elementary schools 1-2 days per week. Artists will be leading after
school theatre arts/community arts programs geared toward building
community, self-esteem, creative expression and understanding of
social issues. We are seeking individuals who align with our mission
and are highly creative, energetic, enthusiastic team players. Part
time positions only.
Qualifications: Applicants must have experience working with youth in
one or more of the following general areas: theatre, dance, visual
arts, film, community development, music, or related areas.
Individuals with experience in Theatre of the Oppressed techniques,
Theatre in Education techniques and original script development are
especially encouraged to apply.
