Ratliff and Ronen want you for their new show

Post by Asaf »

Seeking improvisers of all ages, male and female, for new musically-inspired longform show to be directed by Asaf Ronen and John Ratliff. The longform will be a character piece set in a record store (á la High Fidelity and Empire Records). Personal connection to music of any genre a must. Ability to improvise songs a plus. Ability to play an instrument a definite plus.

We will be holding 3-5-minute solo auditions at The Hideout on Sunday, February 4th between the hours of 3pm and 5pm. Weekly rehearsals will begin late February and an ongoing run in late March. Those interested should contact Asaf Ronen at yesandasaf[at]gmail[dot]com with their availibilities for the day of auditions and any pertinent musical background.

What would you like us audition-ees to prepare? Just a song? Do I need a head shot?

Just a warning... I don't have time to bake mini-muffins.

We will send out an email with a heads up of what you will be doing in the audition. I would tell you now but I just don't want you thinking so much about it.

Auditions coming up this weekend. If you have not signed up yet, then you will miss the opportunity.

We will be sending out emails within two days time. There was a lot of hard decision making to be made.

Thank you all for auditioning and bringing it. I know personally how strange an experience auditioning can be. Particularly as solos.

You would have to go back in time at this point.

Now that's a time commitment.
