What kind of booze do you prefer?

Post by vine311 »

I got an email from the folks that were going to supply the shot luge today and I found out that the thing is HUGE! (40"x20"x10" and weighs 300lbs) There is no way I can keep that thing frozen until the party starts since I have to pick it up at 3PM. So, I put the question to you AIC. Which would you rather have...

Several small shot luges made from 10 pound blocks of ice
A Margarita machine
A keg of beer
Lots of individual beers
A lot of liquor and mixers and shot glasses
Something else?

I need to make a decision by tomorrow I'm guessing so let me know what you think?

Novelty liquor accessories are for lame college kids who are still coming to grips with the whole drinking thing and hang out with boring people. Plain old beer and whiskey and a house full of awesome dudes and ladies will do me just fine.

I'm all for forgetting said shot luge and just having a table of liquor sitting next to a keg.

For the ice cold shots, just keep a supply of glasses in the freezer.

I'll bring the Barenjager.

I'm a big fan of margaritas, but I would like to try the shot luge thing. I've only ever heard of them.

Novelty!

Let us waste away in Margaritaville.

Depends on mood and intent.

A good beer is relaxing and fun, but liquor is friskier and more plyaful, particularly rum, particulalrly 151 rum.

I think I've got a plan that will satisfy everyone. I just got another email from the ice supplier and he says the shot luge is so big that it will last way into the wee hours of the morning. Since I've already ordered it, I'm going to go ahead and get it. In addition to this I'll be buying lots of liquor including all the fixings to make Mexican Martinis. (I worked at Trudy's for 2 1/2 years so I can make a pretty mean one) There will be other types of liquor and mixers as well. I'll have some Lone Star on hand but if you want to drink some other type of beer you should bring it. All liquor donations will be gladly accepted as well. As will any foodstuffs.

Come on out and help me drink all this stuff. You can crash on my floor if you need to but you might want to bring a sleeping bag. Hardwood floors ain't the most comfortable thing in the world.

The next party will feature a margarita machine.

Oh, silly luges! So decadent. I kinda like it.

I'll be happy with either red wine (which I will bring),
or shots of tequila. yeah. I like me some tequila.

I'll take mine extra extra dirty (a term I learned from Justin), and poured down a luge.
