I am reading a great Raymond Chandler book.

I also recently discovered where you consciously or subconsciously got some of your on-stage mannerisms. It is indeed most interesting. I will not divulge my secret, but suffice it to say that his portraylal of the fuhrer did, indeed, say 'baby'.

I'm reading a book of anecdotes. Picasso was a smart-ass and I think he actually must have been called an asshole as well.

Are you saying that this cat's portrayal actually involved him muttering the word "baby?" Or that your assesment of the performance was one that you would rate as babbbbby" status?

Kareem...state in one sentence your philosophical take on improv...if you don't mind.

And tell me more about this revelation of yours posted above.

My philosophical take on improv. Hmm...tough one.

Just off the top of my head, I'd say it'd be something like "Always be ready to truly accept anything and everything."

As for the revelation, Wes and I were watching the original of The Producers at Casino the other day. The mannerisms of the guy playing Hitler were very Chris Allen-like at times. It was amusing.

Chris, have you read this thread 27 times? Because I sure haven't. I think people are peeping on our private conversation. Creepy.

You asked me to state my philosophy in one sentence and then responded with a series of sentences. I cry foul.

Sorry. it's a work in progress. Maybe I should submit three to everyone and take a vote. Then that would be my philosophy.

I'm going to try and sum it up when I have some time to do some deep soul-searching. My improv love has been waxing and waning lately.

My favorite quote is from a Poe poem:

I saw THE FOUNTAIN recently and really enjoyed it. It's a meditative sc-fi flick that also grounds itself in a tough true-life situation. Very interesting, the way Solaris was to me.

The two movies I mentioned to you the other night are PETULIA and BOB AND CAROL AND TED AND ALICE.

How was the New Year's Eve show?

Not bad. It was a B show. I wish it'd been as stellar as Saturday night's show, but you can't have that all the time I guess. Plus, the audience was...75% improv newbies, so they were a little less warm than I'd have liked. I got to play mousetrap, though. That was fun.

and he did an awesome job with the mousetraps, totally taking it for kacey, his scene partner, and even at one point said: "I'll make a snow angel!" and proceeded to lie on the floor that was full of mousetraps, and waving his arms up and down while being stung by the mousetraps.

it was hillarious.
