"Speak" needs solo performers

Post by arthursimone »

I've already talked about this with some of you, but I'm still looking for more performers to join.... it's going to be awesome like pie! I'm also more than happy to coach and help edit people who have monologues...

The "Speak" segment of the 2nd Annual See.Hear.Speak. Festival is accepting submissions from local performance artists wishing to participate. The festival will be hosted by Parallelogramophonograph and ColdTowne, winners of the Austin Chronicle 2006 "Best Improv Troupe" award at their new theater (www.coldtownetheater.com), January 18, 19, and 20. "Speak" will be held on the 20th.

We are *not* looking for run-of-the-mill standup comics, we're focusing on substance and style as a different approach to "comedy"! (think Eric Bogosian, Holly Hughes, Spalding Grey, etc.) If interested, send an email description of your 5-10 minute act.
