What was that loud frickin' siren this morning?

This morning I was awakened by some kind of loud siren-like noise around 5:50am. I live near Epoch coffee shop and the Parlor on North Loop. For those who have lived in this area longer than I have.... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?
I thought maybe it was a tornado warning or something, and hid in my closet.

Are there tornado sirens here?
You'd hear those wailing banshees all over back in Alabama.

Apparently their are no sirens in the hood. So apparently someone's car alarm malfunctioned, or something along those lines. I guess I hid in my closet for nothin. OH WELL.
