Waffle Fest starts tonight. Some of you are playing, some of you are volunteering, some of you are just showing up to watch and eat all the waffles you possibly can. The more the merrier.
We'll be pimping the shit out of everything at all of these shows, so if you you're there, you'll have your chance to pimp your shit in person.
Thursdays are always in danger of being lighter than other nights, so if you've got the time, come on out and support The Leading Brands, Foolish Mortals and You Me & Greg.
We've got Dave, Rachel, Montana and Ace supporting tonight, and I believe we need one more person if anyone can help out.
You guys are the best!

How was the first night of Wafflefest? How was the crowd? How were the waffles?
Pictures?

Sara took some pictures of Foolish Mortals last night with my camera (Thanks Sara!!!), but I'm still slow on getting photos out to the world.
I'm working on it. Maybe setting up a flickr account or something.
Cuz I have tons of improv (and sketch) photos from over the past couple of years.
And I'm gonna try and take some pictures at the Saturday 8pm slot.
I want to be your AIC photographer. I just need to get the technology down.
The Mortals show was pretty crazy, a lot of fun and nutso. The crowd was about twenty-five or so and seemed mostly into things. Not sure how LB and Y,m & G did...folks?

Waffle Fest got off to a modest start last night. We had about 18-22 paying audience members, a bunch of improvisers and somewhere around 250 waffles.
We had a guest photographer documenting the entire evening backstage and during the show, and one or more of the sets was taped.
I got a call this morning from a mother who brought her son who goes to Austin High School and wanted to know if he could come back on Saturday and film for the morning announcements (which are apparently a video feed now). They enjoyed the show very much.

I played what wound up being a tranny named Crispin trying to date his first cousin and a talking sausage trying to have eye sex with Andrea's character. What kind of family is this?!!!

Are you okay with the number of waffle irons? I have a regular-sized (non-industrial) one I could bring.

There were very few extra improvisors though.. mostly only volunteers and performers.. and Texas Improv Massacre. It was a rather quiet festival.
Hopefully there'll be more people tonight!!
There's an open wafflemaking slot tonight for 10 pm.. Can someone cover it?

A coworker asked me if I'm involved in "that waffle thing." Apparently it was announced on KUT. Neat.

be careful...refering to people by their AIC handle is how legends are created...the orf was there too.

The Orf became legend before it was ever an AIC handle.

We've got online orders streaming in, so hopefully audiences will be substantial this weekend.
