East Austin Studio Tour

Spread out around East Austin.
Saturday & Sunday, 10-5pm.

I'm a participant this year, which means casual art-gazers will be encouraged to stop by and browse all the art currently living at ColdTowne Manor. I biked the art tour last year and had a great time, lots of great local artists to see... This year there's this cool paper cranes project that'll look terrific.

Painting is as close to a day job as I have, and between this EASTour and the Blue Genie Bazaar next month, I'm hoping to sell enough work to feed myself a little while longer. Please spread the word, bring your friends, bring your friends' friends. I've got lots of new paintings that'll be making their debut.

Congrats! We did this the last few years and came away with some nice pieces. Its very cool to drive around and see all the creativity surrounding us here on the east side.
Have a bottle of wine cracked open for us!

Too percect. Ha ha.

This is for everyone:!!!!!!::::::
Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back again
your heart is true you're a pal and a confidant

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see, the biggest gift would be from me
and the card attached would say,
Thank you for being a friend

Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

If it's a car you lack
I'd surely buy you a cadillac
Whatever you need, anytime of the day or night

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear, even though it's hard to hear
I will stand real close and say,
Thank you for being a friend

(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Let me tell you bout a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend

And when we die and float away
Into the night, the Milky Way
You'll hear me call, as we ascend
I'll see you there, then once again
Thank you for being a friend

Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
Whoa, tell you about a friend
(Thank you right now, for being a friend)
Thank you for being a friend
(I wanna tell you right now, and tell you again)
Thank you for being a friend
(I wanna thank you, thank you, for being a friend)
Thank you for being a friend

I completely realize that tone, etc. doesn't come through the written word very well - particularly through this forum - but I really wish everyone could be in my head to hear how my posts sound before they are typed... and to hear me laugh at myself at how funny they are. I often think that Chris Trew and Jastroch can hear me and think I am a lunatic... something I want to maintain in case shit hits the fan.

The responses tell me definitively that others don't hear it like I do, but -- like most things in my life, sans teaching -- I do it for my benefit primarily and hope that everyone else has a fun ride with me.

That said, I refuse to explain the comedy in this or any other post at this time.

I hear Justin laughing sometimes and as I was reading the previous post I laughed and then I read the post about laughing.

The winner!

That wasn't a Golden Girls reference, but rest assured that if I ever do make one, it will be with the utmost reverence.

we went by too, really beautiful stuff. Arthur is Mr Talented. We're poor so we didn't buy anything, but there is so much good stuff out there.
