FACT OF THE DAY: To defeat Nazi sniffer dogs during World War II, Danish smugglers sprinkled a powdered mixture of 90% rabbit’s blood and 10% cocaine on their boat decks. The dogs would lick the powdered blood and ingest the cocaine, rendering them temporarily smell-blind. This method protected Danish Jews who were being smuggled to safety in Sweden.
