FACT OF THE DAY: On Sunday, 26-year-old Japanese citizen Jesse Katayama became the first tourist to visit Machu Picchu in seven months. Katayama arrived at the foot of the mountain on March 14, just before the site was closed; rather than return to Japan, he rented an apartment and waited for it to reopen.
