FACT OF THE DAY: In Kent County MD some time around 1800, a girl stitched a 16” x 16” needlework sampler depicting a garland of flowers with a tombstone in the center. On the tombstone is written: “Patty Polk did this and she hated every stitch she did in it. She loves to read much more.”
