FACT OF THE DAY: When they were 10 and 14, brothers Abdoulaye and Ibrahima Barry invented an alphabet for Fulfulde, a West African language which is spoken by up to 50 million people but had no written form. The alphabet was adopted into Unicode in June 2016, making it the youngest written language in the world.
