FACT OF THE DAY: In 2007, Minnesota passed a ban on all indoor smoking with a short list of exceptions, one of which was theatrical productions. The Rock Nightclub in Maplewood, MN tried to skirt the ban by declaring itself a theater and its patrons the performers. According to the owner, the production was “about a bar before the smoking ban. It's an improv production with new actors every night.”
