Les McGehee?
I played with him once in Whirled News, but don't know anything about him. Owen and Joe P told me last week at the Alamo that he just spoke at some big conference in Austin about improv and his new book and he sold 1200 copies and etc etc.

Hey, I'm here! I've never been on this before but I saw my name. chris call me sometime. All of you call me sometime. 743-4330
Here's the scoop on the book, improv cousins. It's called Plays Well With Others. It is on Dalton Publishing. It hasn't come out yet but yes I did get lucky and sell a bunch of boxes to a client who wanted advance copies. i am delivering a few hundred more here and there in boxes so it's pretty exciting for me. I have some of them but I haven't shared them with many people because the final book is cooler. The real book has a book release scheduled at BookPeople on November 30. I will have improv there and you are all invited. I'll send out evites this week probably.
I am in a publishing deal that starts with a three-book series on improv. This is the first of those and it is an overview for the series. This one addresses the general public, businesspeople, and very lightly addresses professional improvisers. The second book is currently titled Improvisation for Business and the third book (untitled) is to professional improvisers, which I am really looking forward to. I'm proud that I am sharing a lot of proprietary stuff in the last one, such as invoice templates, workshop outlines, deal structures for various types of tours and establishments, management data, etc.
My first book has an unbearably dorky picture of me on front but I am flanked by the sexy couple that is ben and megan bartley.
My book has funny stories, some data to encourage regular people and businesspeople to practice improv, and a handbook of starter games. I suggest that people go learn some improv and why. Owen wrote the foreword.
I did so many shows in 20 years that I got tired and have tried to do fewer. That's why a lot of you guys don't know me. I think of you though, especially my great past players Rachel mentioned, add to that list Joe and Owen, Ben, Scott chester, Jerm Pollett, dav wallace, Terrill Fischer, cynthia Oelkers, Alex Nixon, sorry for who I'm forgetting. We did not only comedySportz but National Comedy Theatre, Jet Set, Comedy7, The Skinnies, other shows, hosted tournaments and festivals, etc. I am full of it, history I mean, for instance, the first ever improv festival in Austin was called SWIFT, SouthWest Improv Festival of Texas. And Edison invented the lightbulb.
I love what you guys have all done to the scene, yeah Andy, yeah Sean, yeah OOB, yeah improv. you guys are good.
will it be Buckdorsky or Madman?
peace, Les
