FACT OF THE DAY: In 2010, the city of Cádiz, Spain attempted to award municipal worker Joaquín García for 20 years of service. Only at this time was it discovered that García hadn’t shown up to work in over six years. García was later ordered to pay a fine of €27,000, which was less than the salary he’d been earning.
