FACT OF THE DAY: AI systems sometimes teach themselves to cheat. One computer, programmed to play Q*Bert, discovered a bug in the game that granted it almost a million points. Another bot, when asked to grasp a ball, instead positioned its hand in a position where it appeared to be gripping the ball according to the observation camera.
