FACT OF THE DAY: In 1979 over 1,400 rhesus monkeys were relocated from the Caribbean Primate Research Center in Puerto Rico to Morgan Island, off the coast of South Carolina. There are now about 3,500 wild monkeys living on the island, which is closed to humans.
