FACT OF THE DAY: One of the few artifacts recovered intact from the 1986 explosion of the space shuttle Challenger was a soccer ball carried by astronaut Ellison Onizuka, signed by his daughter Janelle and her Clear Lake High School classmates. The ball sat forgotten in a Clear Lake High School trophy case until 2016, when astronaut Shane Kimbrough took it with him into orbit.
