FACT OF THE DAY: In January a couple walking on a beach in Wedge Island, Western Australia found the world’s oldest message in a bottle, tossed from a German ship sailing across the Indian Ocean on June 12, 1886. The message, part of a scientific experiment, asked the reader to mail it back along with the location where it was found.
