FACT OF THE DAY: In 1958 or 1959, New York resident Antonio Ciccarello was stabbed in an attempted mugging. Surgeons were able to repair the wound, but it caused a bowel obstruction which led to Ciccarello’s death over 50 years later, in 2013. His death was classified a murder.
