FACT OF THE DAY: On February 12, about 72,000 residents of Thessaloniki, Greece were evacuated so that experts could defuse a 550-pound bomb that had been discovered directly underneath a gas station. The bomb was dropped by Allied forces in 1943 and remained unexploded for over 70 years until a construction crew struck it.
