I feel seriously shitty

Post by Brian Boyko »

I'm not going to mince words. I feel seriously scared about my physical health and all I'm going to do is go to work and go home until I can see a doctor, which is Nov. 1st.

If I didn't have to wait for my health insurance to kick in I would see a doctor TODAY, but I do need to wait for it to kick in, so you know that I'm not just blowing off improv to watch reruns of "My Name Is Earl."

My AIM account is my name, without the space in between the first and last if you want to talk, and I'm always available by phone.

Go to Brackenridge ER if you're in need of help but have no insurance. The wait is hell to be seen, but they can work with you about payment and your insurance. Hell, when I worked there, 75% of the folks that came in had no health insurance.

The problem is I HAVE insurance, it just doesn't kick in for two weeks. :(

And, I'm afraid anything I go see a doctor for in that intervening time is going to be considered a "pre-existing condition" that they won't pay for.

Health insurance can't exclude you for "Pre-existing conditoins" if it is an acute illness. If you have the flu, or other illness that is unavoidable, then you're ok. If you hurt your back in 97 and the pain is still there, then you're limited in that aspect. But if you are feeling bad and think it could be serious, then hit the ER, get treatment for now, and explain the situation to the billing dept. They can hold off on follow-up appointments until after the insurance kicks in. And with Brack, you can work out a payment plan if you don't want to use the Insurance and risk anything being taken away.

But I've seen a lot of people ( and been one myself) who waited too long and got screwed medically because of it. If you feel bad, see a doctor. Nothing is worth ruining your health over.

Chris: I'm really sorry for not doing TNA like we planned, but there are two possible things wrong with me, and possibility #1 is seriously bad for my health, possibility #2 is seriously bad if it happens in the show, I really should not be performing anyway.
