FACT OF THE DAY: Yesterday, about 72,000 residents of Thessaloniki, Greece evacuated their homes so that experts could defuse and remove a 550-pound bomb that had recently been discovered directly underneath a gas station. The bomb was dropped onto the city by Allied forces in 1943 or 1944 and remained unexploded for over 70 years until an excavation crew struck it.
