FACT OF THE DAY: Many pets traveled with the Titanic, each of which had its own ticket; a canary owned by Elizabeth Ramel Nye paid 25 cents for the trip. The first-class passengers had a dog show scheduled for the morning of April 15, but the ship sank the night before.
