FACT OF THE DAY: Adjectives in English are applied in the order: opinion, size, age, shape, color, origin, material, purpose—for example, a “lovely little old rectangular green French silver whittling knife.” Using adjectives out of this order is technically correct, but sounds strange: "green old silver French lovely whittling rectangular little knife.”
