FACT OF THE DAY: In 1904, American gymnast George Eyser won six Olympic medals in one day, despite having a wooden leg. Eyser was the only person to compete in the Olympics with an artificial leg until South African Natalie du Toit competed in the 10m swimming marathon at the 2008 games.
