FACT OF THE DAY: The animators for “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” (1983-1987) were subject to rigid broadcast standards. He-Man was not allowed to use his sword as an offensive weapon, or to punch or kick anyone. He was only allowed to destroy robotic enemies, and was discouraged from even injuring another living creature.
