FACT OF THE DAY: A recently-published research study has identified one of the genes responsible for ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, which should lead to new treatment options for some forms of the disease. The study was funded by the ALS Association with proceeds from the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
