Austin Improv

Hi!

I was wondering ... I remember seeing the Saturday night Adsit & Lutz show in OOB 2012. It was pretty amazing and still ranks as one of the best improv shows that I've ever seen. I remember video cameras being around. Is there any chance that there is video of that show somewhere?

Also, is everything that was on OOB's Blip.tv gone?

Yeah, Blip.TV deleted everything. Jerks! I have everything on Hi-8 video tape, strangely enough.

Just for the record that A&L set is one of my all-time favorites. I'd love to see it again.

Ugh! That sucks! There was a Galapagos set that we were kind of find of and I think we never tried to download it or capture it because it was kind of like, "Oh, it'll be there for a while." Did they just delete stuff pretty unceremoniously? I wasn't that inclined to use them for much but that's a definite turnoff. Hooray for everything existing on Hi-8 video!

Me too! What's funny is that I've seen them quite a few times between OOB and multiple DCMs and that's definitely the best show of theirs I've seen (other outings were great, of course). Also, it's pretty much one of the best shows I've ever seen. So, effortlessly fun, interesting, and great use of various techniques that were executed so that everything was so clear to even non-improv audiences. It was pretty inspiring.

The PBS doc on Austin's improv scene has some clips of it but I totally wanna see the whole thing again!

Wait! Does that mean that Adsit & Lutz from 2012 is on Hi-8?!

Or did you just mean what was on Blip.TV?
