FACT OF THE DAY: The Boston Red Sox defeated the New York Yankees 6-5 on Friday night—actually Saturday morning, since the game lasted for 19 innings and over 7 hours, finally ending at 2:13 AM. It was the longest game in Red Sox history, and second-longest for the Yankees. The two teams played again at 1pm on Saturday, less than 11 hours after leaving the field.
