FACT OF THE DAY: In 2008, a British tourist in Dubai was sentenced to four years in prison for possessing illegal drugs, although the man had done so unwittingly—he had stepped on a joint and ended up with 0.003 grams of marijuana on the sole of his shoe, enough to trip an airport drug-sniffing machine. Following an international outcry, the tourist was pardoned.
