Austin Secrets returns to the Hideout stage for its 5th run, this time in March and April. Saturdays at 8pm.
The show is inspired by the PostSecret project, and is a mix of dramatic and comedic improv.

In anticipation of this run, we will be offering workshops in the techniques employed by Austin Secrets.

These workshops will double as auditions.

Some topics we may cover: doing dramatic scenes, intimacy, doing scenes based on secrets, subtext in improv, finding the love in scenes, and improvising with respect for the source material.

The motivation behind this is that there will realistically only be a few spots open in the cast for Austin Secrets. It's in its fifth season, and I plan on keeping the cast size small (around 10).

I want to respect your time and give you a meaningful experience. My hope is that this workshop will be exciting for you regardless of whether you wind up in the cast.

Space will be limited for the workshops: probably 16 per session. Priority will be given to 1) people who are available to be in the March/April run of Austin Secrets, and 2) people with a year of improv class or improv experience. If there's space, people who don't meet that criteria will be more than welcome. And if there's interest, I promise to offer more of these workshops in the future.

These sessions will be on two days: Sunday, December 28th and Sunday, January 4th, and will last an hour and 45 minutes.
