FACT OF THE DAY: In early 2014, the Los Angeles funk band Vulfpeck released an album onto Spotify called “Sleepify,” with ten completely silent tracks, and asked their fans to play it on repeat so they could earn royalties. Spotify took down the album after a few weeks, but not before Vulfpeck earned $19,655.56.
