The Organ Trail is a zombie version of the popular game the Oregon Trail, wherein the player attempts to lead a group of survivors through the zombie apocalypse to a safe zone in Seattle, WA.
ColdTowne has been given permission by the developers of The Organ Trail, The Men Who Wear Many Hats, to do a stage version of their game (available on IOS, PC, & Android).
Directed by Cody Dearing, this show will be a real life simulation of the experience of playing the Organ Trail...complete with BLOODY stage effects.
This show will be a mix of scripted and unscripted moments.
The audience in attendance will make up the "players" of the game attempting to make their way to safety in Seattle, and the cast of improvisers will play the part of the "game" and its NPC's (non-player characters).
During the shows the cast will interact heavily with the audience to have them make choices, and complete challenges. The audience will have to survive hordes of zombies, bandits, the wilderness, the elements, and other audience members. Some people may be lost along the way, and there is a chance no one will make it to Seattle alive.
I'm working right now to find a sponsor to offer a prize to the audience for beating the game.
This show is very much a work in progress, and i'm looking for a group of enthusiastic people who are interested in collaborating on this high-concept show, and making it into something incredible.
Rehearsals will take place on Sundays in August and September from 12pm-2pm (with the exception of 8/31)
and the shows will take place at 8:30pm on Saturdays in October.
