Flying Theater Machine presents The Pirates of Hideout Cove

Select Sundays in July & August, at the Hideout Theatre, Flying Theater Machine presents a hilarious and delightful family-friendly improv show: The Pirates of Hideout Cove!

Raise the sails! Our lovable and motley band of pirates is sailing the seas once again. Welcome aboard! To while away the long hours of our ocean voyages, we play games and regale each other with tales of our legendary past adventures–which magically come to life, often with the help of kids and their parents. Kids (and their adults) are highly encouraged to wear their pirate costumes to the show! The more the merrier!
Sundays at 2:00pm in July and August at The Hideout Theatre in Downtown Austin!


Every Sunday at The Flying Theater Machine, improvisors act silly, kids laugh loudly, and parents watch happily as a new and unique story unfolds biased on the suggestions of the kids in the audience. Some of our favorite audience quotes are:
“That was so much fun!” – Kid.
“Thanks, we’ll be back next week.” – Grown-up
“I laughed so hard my sides hurt!” – Kid
“You all are amazing!” – Grown-up.
The Flying Theater Machine has been tickling the funny bones of Austin Children for the past 5 years. “I created The Flying Theater Machine as a way to bring improvisation to kids in Austin,” says Hideout Owner Jessica Arjet. “Kids gain confidence from jumping on stage, and parents get to see their children in such a positive light. Laughter brings people together, so what could be better than offering a way for families to laugh together?”
