Personal dramas and absurdities presented through improv & the one-act plays of Beckett.

The three brave improvisers of Breaking Beckett unleash their own personal demons and joys filtered through the lens of the great absurdist playwright. What we stand for, what knocks us down, what we fall head over heels for, and what we fall up to our neck in shit over. Through the choreography of his one-act plays, they explore it all.

“We've created such a safe, encouraging environment with this project,” says Marc Majcher, “that I feel like I can say or do anything.”

Without being too precious, and embracing all the ridiculous that comes with the real, they’ve mined their own lives to address such issues as addiction, rage, and the need to fit in.

“There is no intention to be funny,” says Ryan Hill. “It happens, but it's not intended.”

What gets delved into next will depend on the audience’s input.

“This show pushes boundaries,” says Jayme Ramsay, “and allows people to have a different theater experience.”

Produced and Directed by Bob Olmstead, starring Marc Majcher, Jayme Ramsay and Ryan Hill with live original musical accompaniment provided by Content Love Knowles.
Cheers!
