Hey guys,
So I am 18, Female, and in love with improv. I want to start a troupe, but I don't actually know what the process is. Do I just post a notice like this and people who are interested can email me? Or is there more to it.

You sure can, although (it brings me great sadness to say) the forums are a shadow of their former selves.
I think the better thing is to simply get to know improvisers, so you can find people you click with. Best way to do that—besides taking classes, of course—is attending the open jams and mixers in town (
see here). Needless to say they give you a chance to actually improvise, on top of meeting new people. Also attend shows, like the Hideout marathon this weekend, to expose yourself to as much improv and as many improvisers as possible.
See my post
here, it's geared toward new improv graduates, but it might have some useful guidance as well.

Addendum: Looks like you *have* attended Rubber Room at least, based on your FB pics. Have you met improvisers that you think would be interested/available in doing a troupe? Really most troupes start in casual conversation and then turn into something serious from there.

I agree with Kevin. Meet people, perform, talk with people. Find people with similar
improv experience and with whom you get along really well. Talk to me if you see me
