They’ve been up. They’ve been down. Now, they’re stuck in the middle.
Jim Morrison. Amy Winehouse. Sid Vicious. These are a few of the celebrities you'll find in Rock n Roll Purgatory, the universe's attic pack away with souls that don't fit into neat categories. These are talents that have had such a strong positive affect with their work while being such horrible people that their karma has decided it a wash.
Enter The Havocs, the hottest new band that, in the middle of their biggest gig to date, die in a tragic accident and wake up, as Johnny Cash puts it, among this "constellation of f-ed up stars." If that weren't bad enough, a bureaucracy of demons led by the vindictive D-Minor are pressuring them to perform new songs or be sent to Hell.
Created and directed by Asaf Ronen (Firefly: The Musical, B. Iden Payne Award winning The Suitcase) and singer/songwriter Craig Kotfas (also of Knuckleball Now), ROCK N ROLL PURGATORY features a ten new songs including the rock anthem "This Is It", the heart-wrenching ballad "Fewer Scars", the incendiary "The Art of the Cruel" and the in-your-face punk number "Sorry, I've Been Dead."
Starring Justin Davidson, Ann K. Flynn and Adam Niederpruem as The Havocs, Mason Pitluk as their manager, Stig, Kristen Kurtis as Amy Winehouse, Tyler Lane as Sid Vicious, Donna Rice as Janis Joplin, John Reed as Johnny Cash, Callie Sharon as Jim Morrison, Luke Wallens, Heidi Rogers and Allison Huston as the Demons, and Chelley Pyatt as D-Minor, the baddest demon of them all.
