We did not have an AIC to send us love. We were the first new troupe in Austin two years ago and nobody praised our insanity, so we all got a divorce.

Does anyone other than Bedridden actually remember Bedridden?

All I know about Bedridden is the phrase "...when Bedridden performed in Frontera..."

I do. Wasn't Rene Pinnell in the group with you?

If I ever meet Bedridden in a dark alley, there will be hell to pay!

Yes. Rene, Andrea, Jill, Andy and I formed Bedridden after working on Reality Improv (a Heroes of Comedy flowy donut show directd by Jay Michael) two years ago this month...a month before Foolish Mortals got together. In Reality Improv we did seventy-five minutes of longform per show without knowing that thirty minutes is a good place to start. We jumped off the cliff big time and loved it.

We were one of the first troupes to play in the Austin Co-Op shows back when there was just a single Friday night show with two troupes. We also played Wafflefest and FronteraFest...where we won Wild Card for a sketch show written by Peter Rogers and myself.

And we all slept together multiple times and killed a man once.

Is this just the start of a very clever publicty campaign to rebrand classic improv teams in an effort to distract us from the real hard news stories of what's happening in Terrell Owens' tummy?!?!?!?

Seriosuly, do I smell a Bedridden Reunion show at next year's OoB?

For the record, the first team to come out of the Heroes was, I believe, First Round Draft. Gravy started around that same time, back in 2002 and did it's last show at OoB 2004. In the aftermath of Gravy came The Knuckleball Now.

Other late, lamented, non-Terrell Owens troupes out there?

Oh yeah, I saw that Wafflefest show, where you took questions written down by the audience. I didn't know you were making scenes about them so I wrote down a bunch of horrible questions. So for most of the show I was just praying you wouldn't read mine. And you didn't, so it worked out.

Hey Bryan...what were your questions?

I remember bedridden and first round draft. I remember they had the cleverest logo ever- 1^rd (artist's depiction). I remember that Bob A and I had plans to make a improv bake-off celebrity cooking show. I remember Ed32, which was too big to fulfill its potential.
