I've been wanting to put together a group of cinematically-minded improvisers for a while to do the Movie format, my favorite of all the formats.
The idea is to create improvised movies on stage of 25 minutes (and then possibly longer) that utilizes cinematic vocabulary and discovers what genre it is in the process of creation.
I'm going to be auditioning people on Sunday, February 23rd starting in 30 minute slots from 4pm till 7pm. An encyclopedic knowledge of movies is not necessary. A love of different types of movies is a HUGE plus!
The end result will be a troupe called POV that will workshop/rehearse some ideas and then submit around town with the possibility of an extended run down the road.
If you're interested, email me at yesandasaf at gmail.
