Does anyone have notes or a recording of Matt Besser when he was here the last time?
He talked about the pattern game aka cloverleaf.

Thanks!

Hmm -- these are probably not the notes youre looking for...

It rarely takes more than a page to recognize that you're in the presence of someone who can write, but it only takes a sentence to know you're dealing with someone who can't.

Never challenge Peter Rogers to word association.

The pattern game is one of my favorite topics. You haven't lived until you've spent an entire three-hour class practicing it. Josh, email me if you have any questions in particular.

Yeah, he returned to Austin in October 2011 to promote Freak Dance at Austin Film Festival and did a brief lecture at SVT. If anything, it seems like an evolved version of the lecture from your notes. I remember him talking about premise-based scenework vs. organic scenework and spending a lot of time on the pattern game. There was a lot of work explaining the concept of going from "A to C" in the pattern game, primarily.
