FACT OF THE DAY: In 1999, General Wesley Clark ordered a contingent of 500 British and French paratroopers to seize a Kosovo airport held by Russians. Future pop singer James Blunt was in command of the contingent and refused the order. (His superior, British general Mike Jackson, later told Clark: āIām not going to start the third world war for you.ā)
