The Jim Belushi of filmmaking AKA Need a heap of help!

Hello,
Jono Gray here. I haven't been to the forums in a long while, but here I am. Back by no demand whatsoever. Just a nobody trying to make it work.
Anyway, I'm sure you're all busy, so I'll try to get to the meat of this post very soon. We're all busy, right? We dip our hands into so many pots, we sometimes forget to check the label. Is this making us happier, or is it a repetitive obligation to the craft? When everyone switched from myspace to facebook, that was a pretty big deal, but is there a future where facebook will be replaced with a different social media? Probably not. Because overall, people don't like change and typically prefer comfort and routine, even if it means sacrificing choice and freedom (not in the "American" sense, but in that slave-to-your-schedule/Apple-Products kind of way [no offense to Apple-users {you're supposed to be friendly, right?}]).
But I'm getting way too philosophical and off topic. I am a filmmaker. And for years, I have prevented myself from getting out there and doing it. I write, then shelve, rework, shelve again, then start from scratch on something new; lather, rinse, repeat. But never do I actually get the camera out and film something. Or make a connection with someone to do so, to collaborate. Because I'm comfortable in my rut. Because I'm afraid of change. I'm afraid no one will like me, because I'm different. Not the cute kind of different that EVERYBODY is, but the "What are the things people do and say when they are around other people" kind of different. Then I think twice about trying to make friends or acquaintances. "Why bother?" I say, "No one cares about the things you care about," I prattle on in my lizard brain. Crippling to say the least.
This is a good time to mention that I am a babbler, but only on the Internet, because only on the Internet can you take several hours to say maybe 5 minutes worth of words. In real life, it's the other way around. So i apologize that this is a lot of time and words, but I am detail-oriented as it says on my resume, so there's that.
The point is... I'm just looking for someone to collaborate with. I want to venture into the unknown with filmmaking as the main activity. Mostly looking for cinematographers and actors, but an open and creative mind is welcome for an extra pair of eyes, ears, and voice. I am much into comedy, horror, and experimental, so B- horror movies and Tim & Eric are always on my mind. And music! Dan Deacon, Talking Heads, forever music! I have a Canon 5d Mark ii and an H4n Zoom field recorder as well as other tools and junk.
To kind of show what you might be getting into, here is what I have on my To Do List at the moment: A zombie short film called Deader Than Deadest: The Novel: The Movie. This is a standard bad horror film (12-15 min.), but the caveat is that there will be no visible actors. It will be stylistically shot exactly like a horror film (storyboarded and all), but all dialogue will be overdubbed with no on-screen actors. Not ghosts and no weird moving props on wire or string. Just experimenting; I have no idea how the finished product will look. The second project is a series of radio plays; I am working on three Dracula stories as well as three cowboy ones. Both are written and to be performed as if it were done by a terrible crew a la Ed Wood, but as a close tribute to old radio dramas of the 30s and 40s with a narrator and foley artist.
If any of this remotely interests you, then take a chance with me and explore some rarely ventured avenues of entertainment. I've been cooped up in my shabby solitude for too long and need a kick in the pants for creativity. You can email me at the following email address: jonojonogray[at]gmail[dot]com. If you would like to see some of the videos I have edited and/or filmed, you can visit http://www.youtube.com/user/jonojonogray. Thank you for reading all of this, or at least skimming it, and I look forward to hearing from you. I have all the time in the world, btw. Wanna know my schedule? I work, I edit (video/music), and that's it. I don't go out, I have no obligations, and I really want to start filming or recording or anything very soon. Okay bye, see ya, thanks.
