Super Samurai Showdown!

Post by Marc Majcher »

Okay, now that everyone has had a night or two to sleep off the festivation, I'm extending the call for players in my Super Samurai Showdown slot in the Blank Show. The format is straight-up long form storytelling, in the style of Zatoichi, Kurosawa, Lone Wolf and Cub, and so on.

The plot structure of these stories are pretty straightforward, which gives us a nice frame to hang some really nice improvising on. So, if you're a fan of the genre, give me a PM or email or holler back here - I still need a few more people to perform, and the usual crew and such.

If you're unfamiliar with the genre, but still interested, we'll be having at least one, and hopefully two rehearsals before the show, where I'll go over what I have in mind, and we can figure it all out. We got your back.

Super Samurai Showdown at the Blank Show, Saturday September 30th, 11:30pm at the Hideout. Ganbatte!

Holy crap, Marc. This is exactly the kind of thing I am into. Alas, I am out of town that weekend.

I don't remember if I told you I'm in, but I'm in. Plus I have all the Lone Wolf & Cub manga if anyone needs reference material.

Bumpu.

I'll be scheduling a rehearsal for next week, so if anyone else (who's not in my troupe) wants to get in on some Edo-period status play, give a holler, and we'll set it up.
